We've spent a couple of years turning the old Getty on Islington from a run-down eyesore to the soon-to-be mecca of breakfast. What we need now is an operator with the knowledge, attitude, and willpower to go from three-quarters of an idea to serving customers.

Position
As the General Manager of The Getty, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the highest product standards, customer service, and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflows, and creating a positive, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Monitor and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with local regulations.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and address concerns.
- Create and maintain staff schedules to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional customer service by training staff and addressing customer feedback promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, creating a welcoming environment.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, labor costs, and profitability goals.
- Track sales and expenses, providing regular reports to ownership.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and control costs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-casual or bakery setting.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including scheduling, inventory, and budgeting.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and basic computer skills.
